Therapy Intensives

Sometimes we need dedicated time to reflect and reset. That is the beauty of a counseling or coaching intensive. The focus and intimacy of intensive work helps to foster trust and a sense of safety. This trust and time away from family, work, and day-to-day obligations creates space for critical nervous system relaxation, allowing you to access resources you need for deeper work. Intensives also help create the feelings of restoration and internal support you need when you are facing big change or integrating back into daily life after experiencing new ways of being. I’ve seen dedicated clients work through grief and trauma during intensives, and find the strength, courage, and practical tools to make lasting, beneficial change in a short amount of time.

You may benefit from intensive work if:

  • You want to transition from one phase of life to the next with intention

  • You’re ready to put energy into setting and achieving a goal

  • You want focused time to work through a particular trauma or roadblock

  • You need space and time for a nervous system reset

Counseling and coaching intensives are customized to fit your goals. They can be in person or online, depending on what works best for you. I offer intensives that run anywhere from two to five days. During this time I balance deep counseling or coaching work with rest and relaxation. Intensives can include a mix of modalities, including nature-based therapy, somatic work, movement, mindfulness, parts work, EMDR, and more. Every intensive starts with at least one to two preparatory sessions, in which we discuss your intentions. Integrating what you discover during an intensive is an important part of the process, so we will also discuss post-intensive work and sessions to help you feel supported.

Let’s talk about what a counseling or coaching intensive might look like for you.
